Online Courses

The Academy offers online workshops designed to support professionals in their efforts of becoming master clinicians. Our track workshops are built to bridge theory into practice in different diagnosis.

Maude has built a substantial amount of knowledge over the past 3 decades that allowed her to develop assessment and intervention possibilities that really works. She has been training this information globally and now this would be available online. Though Maude does not claim to ever have all the information a clinician may need, her workshops are designed to be a support to clinical practice with all that she has developed.

Workshops will be offered in different week time frames from 5 to 12 weeks at a given time. Each session would be a 90-minute presentation and PowerPoint can be downloaded for each session prior to the session occurring.

Track Workshops

These workshops entail 4 levels of training that will assist you in bridging theory into practice. You only commit to one level at a time with no further obligation to continue the ladder. Workshop information is not prescriptive, but is based on a Developmental Pathways Model (DPM) that will provide the structure within which to understand and build your clinical knowledge around each diagnostic category. These workshops follow a logical progression.

Bronze: These workshops will be containing the current theory, brain development, as well as research of the topic at hand. This level will be open to the public at large, both parents and professionals.

Silver: These workshops will contain information on how to assess a specific diagnosis. Different assessment batteries will be discussed and our own assessment protocol will be the platform used to explain it. Participants will have the opportunity to present short video clips (nothing formal) of their own cases to assist with clinical judgment and thinking. Workshops on this level will be limited to 12 participants and will only be open to professionals. In order to enter this workshop, you would need to have completed the bronze level course of this specific diagnosis.

Gold: These workshops will contain intervention possibilities for each specific diagnosis. Cutting edge newer technology modalities (high-end) will be discussed as well as multiple low-end ideas that will satisfy everyone. The emphasis will not be on the modalities you use in your workplace, but on clinical judgment. Only professionals would be permitted in this workshop and the class will be limited to 12 professionals. Together with the information provided, the workshop will also include video clips from the workshop participants. In order to enter this workshop, you would need to have completed the silver level workshop of this specific diagnosis.

Platinum: This would be the ultimate level to reach and would entail the presentation of 2 case studies from assessment to intervention and the professional would be scored on a rubric that will expect comprehensive knowledge on the clients presented. Entry into this “workshop” is individually based on a timeline that suits both us and the professional in training. We may invite other professionals to hear these presentations as well and to comment on your expertise. These rubrics are not meant to be judgmental, but an aid for the professional to understand and build their own expertise. The goal is to guide the professional in their self-reflection on cases, explain their clinical judgment and enhance their own individual style of working. In order to enter this course, you would need to have completed the gold level course of this specific diagnosis.
